What is a "BR Wiki Round Table Webinar"?

It's a chance for anyone and everyone to get involved with the BR Wiki. It is an opportunity to ask questions about the BR Wiki. It's a web based meeting where we share ideas and opinions. Sometimes we make decisions and develop common goals.

Topics of Conversation

of course it is better for you to make new pages the best way possible. but does it help for you to do a not "best way possible" page, addition, or alteration? YES! Everything anyone of us can do to add to the documentation will help. Nothing will hinder, and if it does then it can be undone. Remember "Please note that all contributions to BR Wiki may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors. If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly, then don't submit it here."

this is a world of sharing. this a world of unending change and searching for perfection. as long as we have common goals we will reach toward them together. there will be arguments. we will try to be the better people and understand what other is trying to communicate. there is a solution, probably more than one.

that being said, i have done a great deal of research (mostly reading up on what other wikis have found to work best) into this strange world of wiki and I plan to present to you what i believe is the best way possible to enhance our wiki.

here's what we'll cover:

  • we'll do the tutorial together (if everyone hasn't already done it)
  • categories
  • magic words
    • noinclude and includeonly(sp?)
    • nowiki
  • inclusion ({{:page name}})
  • templates
  • what constitutes a page.
  • page titles - simplicity rules and disambiguation
  • redirects
  • Common Goals - define our own version of the five pillars[1] or a Mission statement (wikipedia's).

and much more...
