Hot Text refers to printed characters which have been empowered to become widgets. They are clickable by the user and control is returned to the program to complete an action like changing screens. Hot Text is added to the screen by using a Print Fields statement. Hot Text return a FKey value.

A HotKey or Hot Key is a legacy term for FKey.
