A keepalive is a message sent between two devices to check that the link between them is operating or to prevent this link from being broken.

As of 3.9, BRClient is now sending a keepalive packet every 10 seconds. BRSERVER will now terminate under all conditions if it does not receive a keepalive packet from the Client for 100 seconds.

Keepalive failures will be logged in an error log file in the BRSERVER directory whenever a BRserver process is abnormally ended.
